Support of the Roma Tre IHL Legal Clinic and the IEUDL Module to the IFRC Study on the “Checklist on Law and Disaster Preparedness and Response

In October 2017 students participating at the activities of the Roma Tre IHL Legal Clinic and the Jean Monnet Module on International and European Disaster Law submitted the final desk study on the Italian disaster management legal framework as requested by the IFRC Disaster Law programme for the IFRC’s forthcoming “Checklist on Law and Disaster Preparedness and Response”.

The research was carried out from March to September 2017 by 4 selected students of the IEUDL Module (Giulia Bollini, Lorenzo Dal Monte, Arianna Napoleoni and Alessia Strozzi) in cooperation with the Jean Monnet Module coordinator and responsible of the Roma Tre IHL Legal Clinic (Prof. Bartolini) and two key teaching staff (Dr. Natoli and Riccardi). During the research the active involvement of the Italian Red Cross, Emergency Department (Andrea Giovannoni) permitted to receive fruitful feed-backs on draft versions of the desk study. Involved students have also benefitted of a 3 months internship with the Italian  Red Cross in light of the support provided to the IFRC.
